If you have been to Walt Disney World Resort before you know how much walking is involved, and if you haven't been before, know that the average visitor walks 8 to 10 miles per day in the parks. That’s why comfortable shoes and practical gear are a must. Whether you're planning a magical day at Magic Kingdom or hopping over to EPCOT for dinner, having the right items can make all the difference.
I've put together a curated list of my favorite Disney park day essentials to keep you comfy, cute, and prepared for anything. Happy shopping!

1. Comfy & Stylish Sneakers for Disney
These Tretorn sneakers are my go-to park shoes. They’ve got a memory-foam insole and a sleek gold-trim design that works with everything from dresses to shorts. The white leather has a slightly grey tone, which hides scuffs beautifully.
💡 Sizing tip: I size down to a 7 (normally wear 7.5 in sneakers).
💲 Around $50 – so affordable for the quality!
2. The Cutest Cooler Backpack
This Lilly Pulitzer backpack is perfect for long park days. It’s actually a cooler bag—yes, really! The interior is one large thermal-lined compartment, so it’s easy to wipe clean after spills.
✔ Adjustable strap
✔ Lightweight & easy to carry
✔ Stylish enough to distract from any poncho situations later in the day!
3. Florida Humidity Hair Hero
Central Florida humidity is no joke. I use this anti-frizz spray to keep my hair shiny and manageable all day. It’s lightweight and adds just the right amount of gloss.

4. A Magical Day Dress
This dress is one of my favorites for Disney days. It has puff sleeves, a fun mixed-fabric design, and a breezy knee-length cut—perfect for warm weather. Comes in lots of colors!
👟 Looks adorable with the Tretorn sneakers!
🌸 Great for mornings at Magic Kingdom or evenings at Disney SpringsI find that maxi, and even some midi dresses, are just too warm for me. The knee length of this one is great for hot Florida days.
5. Favorite Park Water Bottles
Hydration is key, especially in the Florida heat! These wide-mouth water bottles are lightweight and easy to refill. I bring a splash guard and mix in electrolytes or Gatorade packets throughout the day.
💧 Pro tip: You can get free water from quick-service restaurants, but the cups are small and lines can be long. A good bottle is a game changer.
6. Clip-On Convenience
These stroller clips make carrying water bottles or cooling towels a breeze. Clip them onto your backpack or stroller, and you’re hands-free and park-ready.
👶 Perfect for families with little ones in tow cooler bag above, water bottle above, and these clips are the perfect park combo. This is where that nice large loop from the lid comes in; just clip the water bottle to your backpack, or stroller if you're using one, and you can easily un-clip to drink and re-clip while walking or riding!
7. Must-Have Rain Poncho
Florida rain can hit out of nowhere. This budget-friendly poncho is long enough to sit on a park bench without soaking your shorts. The cutest? Maybe not. But it will save the day.
🌦 A lifesaver during those pop-up showers
8. Sun Hat for Park Days & Pool Time
The Florida sun is strong, and sunburned scalp parts are no fun. I pack a sun hat for morning and midday park time—and of course for lounging by the resort pool! Do know that you'll need to remove your hat for some rides. Not a big deal to me!
🧴 Don’t forget your sunscreen, too!
9. Linen Shorts You’ll Live In
These lightweight linen shorts are perfect for Disney days. They’re breathable, quick-drying, and super easy to style.
👗 Pair with a feminine top, sun hat, and those cute sneakers and you're ready to hit the parks.
10. A Sweater for Chilly AC
Even in summer, I always bring a sweater. Disney restaurants and hotel lobbies are often chilly, especially after a rain. These are my pick—customizable and cute!
✨ Choose a monogram, name, or fun phrase like “Under the Sea” or “Once Upon a Time”
11. Everyday Pearl Earrings
I love a comfy pair of pearls for Disney. These are made for sensitive ears, won’t irritate throughout the day, and you can even swim in them!
💸 Under $15—so you won’t panic if one goes missing on Space Mountain!
