My Favorite Items to Pack for Walt Disney World Trips

If you have been to Walt Disney World Resort before you know how much walking is involved, and if you haven't been before, know that the average visitor walks 8 to 10 miles per day in the parks. Comfortable shoes are essential to make it a fun trip! I've put together a shopping guide with my favorite trip items to pack. Hope you enjoy!

These Tretorn sneakers are my favorite! Sooo comfy with a memory-foam insole. The leather has a slightly greyish tint to the white color, making the contrast to the gold trim just perfect. At around $50 they're very affordable.

I size down to a 7 whereas I usually order a 7 and a half in sneakers.

I love this Lilly Pulitzer backpack for park days because, surprise - it's a cooler bag! The inside is one large compartment that is smooth thermal lining...so, if something spills you can easily wipe it out and it's clean as ever! The strap is adjustable in length which makes it perfect for taking turns carrying during long days of walking. Finally, it's just so cute! It nearly makes up for the poncho you might be wearing later in the day.

If you've spent time in central Florida before you know that the humidity is no joke and it takes a toll on your hair. I use this spray to help keep frizz at bay and for added shine that lasts.

This is one of my favorite dresses! The puff sleeves and mixed fabric design is so fun! Perfect for a morning at Magic Kingdom or an evening at Disney Springs. This one looks too cute with the Tretorn sneakers I mentioned above! I find that maxi, and even some midi dresses, are just too warm for me. The knee length of this one is great for hot Florida days.

Our favorite water bottles for park days... They're lightweight and have that nice round loop on the lid. I use with a splash guard since these are wide mouth. You can easily refill at water fountains and bring electrolyte or Gatorade packets to mix some up during the day. Yes, you can get free water from several locations in the parks, but they're usually pretty small cups and Florida is hot.

The cooler bag above, water bottle above, and these clips are the perfect park combo. This is where that nice large loop from the lid comes in; just clip the water bottle to your backpack, or stroller if you're using one, and you can easily un-clip to drink and re-clip while walking or riding!

Are they the cutest thing in the world? Probably not, but it's easy to see why ponchos are so popular for rainy days in the parks. This one is very reasonably priced and long enough that you can take a break on a park bench without worrying that you'll be soaked when you stand up.

Just like humidity, we know that the sun can be pretty intense in Orlando. A sun burnt part in your hair is no fun so I like to take a sun hat with me for pool time and even to wear in the parks during the morning and mid-day heat.

I love a good pair of linen shorts for the parks! They're cool, breathable, and dry quickly. This pair is affordable and a crowd favorite. Toss these on with a feminine top, the sun hat and sneakers above, and you're ready to hit the parks!

I always take a sweater with me to Walt Disney World, even if it's going to be quite hot. Often times indoor spaces like restaurants and hotel lobbies can be pretty cool, especially after a rain shower. From left to right, these sweaters move from least to most expensive. If you don't mind an investment I would absolutely pick the far right. The color options are sooo pretty! Each of these three can be customized. I personally would choose a fun phrase like "Under the Sea" or "Once Upon a Time," but you could also do a name or monogram. Have fun and use your creativity!

Finally, I love a comfortable pair of pearls to wear. They're classic, go with everything and there's no irritation by the end of a long day. You can even swim in these! This pair is great - made for sensitive skin, and at less than $15 you won't have to worry too much about losing them while traveling.
